I went to the gun range on Wednesday

I think that dry firing in an approximated Chapman stance has helped immensely, because I'm pretty sure I threw less lead down-range at greater distance to slightly better results than the previous trip.

Also had the opportunity to pop a couple of printers with a 30-06 at 75-100 yards0, and to run a dozen-ish rounds through a buddy's CZ-751. However, I now know there was something I forgot.

Durnit. Hate when that happens.

0. I even nailed one--the nearer one, I think--with the Mateba twice in a row.
1. The full-sized, steel-framed 9mm kicks like a kitten compared to either the Steyr M40-A1 or the .357 Mateba. Encouraging, since I intend to buy a CZ-75 SP-01 in the next couple of weeks.

It's been a long, long month.

And there's still a whole, long, long week to go!

So I really can't put into words how glad I am that I've got Nedroid.com in my RSS aggregator. Stuff like this is immensely useful in relieving me of the deep blue funk. Seriously, I feel better already.

As with at least half of my RSS roll, I have to blame it on someone else.

Praise Batman!

It seems that, under the guidance of Frank Miller, Batman will be taking the war on terror to Al-Qaeda. (The Grauniad apparently errs slightly: the title of the proposed book is to be Holy Terror, Batman, not Holy Terror. Googling turned up the later title on a Batman Elseworld book from 1991.)

I laugh every time I think about this.

I'm pretty sure that's a bad thing.
